Price Retrieval for multiple versions of same stock

Combining the contents of several portfolios into one, causes the same stock to be represented several times. In prior versions a sign would come up saying that the program was updating several instances of this stock. That does not happen in this version and as a result only one instance of the stock gets updated. What can I do? Has something changed?
