What IF scenerios

I want to look and see what would have happened to my investments if I had sold or bought additional shares at some point in the past. How can I do this without messing up my "real" data?

I realize that I can input my "fake" data and then go back and remove it after I'm done playing with it, but is there another way to do this without having to remember which "fake" data I have to remove?
