Hi Bob.

Yes. In versions 8.x you can "Sub-Total" your reports by any of these:

Sub-Portfolios
Asset Type
Investment Goal
Symbol
Investment Type

So, you could use the Asset Type categories to assign taxable and tax-deferred status to each of your investments. You could then create a report that sub-totals by Asset Type. This would list out each investment under each asset type, and then a total for each asset type.
