Hi Joe,

The window you describe is the "Portfolio Editor" window. It sounds like it needs to be re-sized to fit on your screen. One easy way to do this is with "Window / Cascade", or one of the "Tile" commands.

It is hard for me to say what happened to get things showing up this way.
