Strange display problem

This is weird. All of a sudden my display has changed. Now when I open FM it shows a two panel list; left panel shows a folder hierarchy of my three portfolios; right panel shows a list of stocks, their symbols, their location in my computer, and some numbers. Point one--I don't know how this display came about or was created. Point two- the top of the display is hidden under the tool bar, and I can't see the top of the file folder hierarchy in the left panel nor the headers for the lists in the right panel. Nothing I do seems to un-hide the top of this display.
How did I cause this to happen, and how do I get rid of it?
This is one of two problems that suddenly happened. I'll post a separate topic for the second one.
