: When recording the buy transaction, just enter the "Value" and "Price" at $0, and enter the number of shares acquired. It is perfectly fine to buy shares at a $0 cost.

Great! For #2, can I hide the investment (assuming I have the company match as a seperate investment) in the reports as I don't have any of it vested yet. If not, it would be a nice feature to have it based on the vesting percentages. That could give an accurate representation what are the exact dollars you have that are truly yours in a 401(k) account.
