: : : I've downloaded historical prices in the past. Recently : : : started tracking indexes and I was able to load into : : : FM the DJ30 historical prices. But with the SP_500 : : : price file, I get the message 'could not update any : : : investments'. After reading previous messages, I did : : : download the most current version 3.4.115. : : : Any ideas? Thanks : : : Pat : : Pat, : : Which symbol are you using for the S&P 500? If : : you use Yahoo's symbol of ^SPC the historical : : retrieve will work fine. : : Thanks, : : Mark : : -- : : Mark Beiley : : : : Fund Manager for Windows 3.1x/95/98/NT : : : : : =============================================== : Yes - that's the symbol I've been using to pull in : the current prices every day. Trying to update by : using Edit/Update price/Import..Fund Manager. Then : select SP_500.dat and click on Import. : Any other settings that make a difference? : And I've tried setting up a new investment. : Thanks, Pat Hi Pat, I thought you were using the "Yahoo (Historical)" server to update historical prices. That is the easiest way, BTW. To import the prices from our web site for the S&P you'll need to use the same symbol as recorded in that investment file, which is ^SPX. If you'd like to check out the historical retrieve from Yahoo see "Options/ Internet Settings..." to select that server. Thanks, Mark -- Mark Beiley
