Deleting Investments

I am not real sophisticated, and this is probably "Stupid Question #5210". I need to know how to completely delete an investment from Fund Manager.

One of my investments had a change in name, and in order to read and enter the data from a quarterly report, I need the new name in the Fund Manager system, and I need to completely delete the old name. I renamed it, but it still shows up in the Open Investment file under the old name. When I open it, it comes up with the new name. Eventually I will forget what name it is under.
