Mark,
FM 6.8 does not have a %gain (btw) option. It does have %gain-I (btw), which it this case renders 7.9%, not the 17.6% that I'm looking for.

: : Mark,
: : The report you suggest gives me the % gain on the currently held shares, in this case 13.13%. But all the transactions for this one stock during the specified time frame have resulted in a 17.6% gain. I find it frustrating that FM can combine all the transactions and accurately compute the OOP (+20,328), and the gain (+3576), but cannot put the two together to get 17.6%. Is there a way I can write my own formula for a report, in this case gain divided by OOP?

: Hi Robert,

: There are multiple versions of the OOP fields, one for currently held shares, one for between a date range, and one from inception. I gave you the case for the currently held shares. You can use the "between" version to get what you're looking for. Please create a custom report with these fields:

: Out of pocket basis (between)
: Value (ending)
: Gain (between)
: %Gain (between)

: The last field is the gain divided by the OOP for the report date range.

: Thanks,
: Mark
