Portfolios are a collection of investments. All transactions are recorded in the investments. I'm not clear on how the portfolio paid out a dividend that wasn't part of an investment? Do you mean the dividend was on your cash in this portfolio? If so, you can have an investment to track your cash, and record an interest income distribution in the cash account. Thanks,
