": Hi David,

: I believe you're describing the "marker cursor". Whenever you hover the mouse over any marker, the cursor will change to an X shape. This lets you know you are over a marker, and have new choices in the right-mouse popup menu. You can't turn this feature off, but if you wanted, you could turn off the display of markers, so this cursor wouldn't show up."

It is indeed a marker cursor; I just checked it by putting it over a marker on a different security. The problem is, it stays that way over the entire green background of the graph. And I'm not sure, but I think that I just discovered WHEN it happens. (You remember, it happens "sometimes".) I think that it happens when I've got a "new" security open on top, i.e., a security with only the original buy transaction, and which therefore has NO markers visible, even though I've got a whole bunch of markers enabled in Options|Markers.

I just tried right-clicking on random pieces of screen background when this is happening, to see what would happen. I get a list which starts "Edit Transaction", as if it's on a marker, and when I go into "Edit Transaction", it gives me the original buy. In other words, it's treating the whole green background as the original "buy" marker. Is it supposed to be that way?

Thanks.
David.
