flickering screen fix in FAQ

Sorry but I am confused by the instructions provided in the FAQs on the flickering screen created by all the reports I've kept opened. The FAQ instructions are copied below, followed by my questions:

Question: When I open my portfolio my screen "flickers" for a long time. What is this, and how do I fix it?
Answer: Portfolios can remember which reports to create when opening a portfolio. If you have many reports stored in your portfolio you may see "flickering" when opening your portfolio. You can close all of your reports and re-save the portfolio, or turn off this feature completely. You can turn this feature on/off under a reports menu by selecting "Options / Report Preferences... / General" and turning on/off "Portfolios Store and Recall Reports".

By close all your reports, do you mean the close portfolio button on the File portion of the menue bar? I see no option to close one or all reports --how do you close all rather than one?

The Options / Report Preferences appears not any longer to exist. Under Options / Preferences, there Display, Date, Yields, Toolbar, Menus and Other, but that's it.

Any help appreciated
