: Good evening!

: 1. How do I delete a subportfolio?

: 2. I am using Windows Scheduler (in other words, the command line) to update prices from the Net once a day. Instead of updating the whole portfolio, I would like to update just one subportfolio. How do I do this? If I set the subportfolio as active, will it update only that subportfolio?

: Thanks.

Hi David,

Good morning to you.

1) Use the Portfolio Editor. If the Portfolio Editor isn't already open, you can open it with "View / Portfolio Editor". Select the sub-portfolio you want to delete, and choose "Edit / Close" from the menu. Closing a sub-portfolio deletes it, and this cannot be un-done.

2) Sorry, the command line feature will just update all open investments in the portfolio file you specify. You can't choose to update just a single sub-portfolio. Is there some reason you don't want all your investments updated?

You could create another portfolio file (*.mm4) that contains just the investments from the one sub-portfolio you want to update. You could then use this new portfolio file on your command line. You can use copy/paste from within the Portfolio Editor to copy the sub-portfolio across portfolio files. For a tutorial that shows how to do this, please read:

Thanks,
