: This issue has been raised a couple of times in the past & I wonder if any progress has been made.

: I have a share where I paid a certain amount on acquisition with balance to be paid in 10 years. (This 10 years due date has almost arrived.) I have seen your suggestion about the "deemed" loan approach. I thought I might just create a negative dividend which would reflect cash flow accurately but Fund Manager does no accept this approach.

: I could also "sell" my security & re-purchase under new circumstances but this would create a distortion in returns. I need to get this sorted out as this is a large investment in my portfolio.

: Any thoughts would be really appreciated.

: Kind regards,

Hi Mark,

Ooops! dementia at work here - I see I asked you about this on 2/6! Sorry! I had tried a negative distribution, but it did not seem to work - but trying again seems to work just fine - so perhaps another dementia episode. ;-) Incidentally, as far as I can see this negative distribution approach works great & I am inclined to think this is better than the deemed loan approach. Seems a pretty obvious solution ... but a taklen me a few years to get there. ;-)
