: I am having trouble retrieving transactions from Smith Barney. I am using the same User ID and Password that I use for their website, but I am not able to sign on through Fund Mgr Professional 7.6.

: Any suggestions what I might be doing wrong?

Hi John,

Some brokers require a separate userid/password for their OFX server. This feature actually uses a different server than the web server, so it may be a different userid/password. They may also need to enable your account to be available on the OFX server. I'd suggest calling them up, and asking them what userid/password you need, and if they need to enable it for you. They may not call it an OFX server, but it is the same feature that Money and Quicken use to retrieve transactions, so you might mention this in order to clarify what you're asking about.

Thanks,
Mark
