Download of Master Portfolio Quotes into Subportfolio

I seem to be having a similar problem to the poster below. When I attempt to retrieve quote data for a subportfolio, I get quote downloads for all symbols in the master portfolio, even if multiple particular symbols were never included in the subportfolio. How can I set up a retrieval so only the symbols included in a subportfolio are included?

Of note, this happens even if the subportfolio is checked with "Set active portfolio". This leads to quote retrieves that are inordinately long, and it seems to lead to subportfolio files that are unnecessarily large.

Any help appreciated.
