: I would like to create a sub-portfolio that would list current local bank cd’s in some manner which would allow me to have a listing of all of my investments. How do you enter a cd and the value. The “Add New Investment” is looking for a stock symbol to be able to download updates from the internet. Is there a workaround for this?

Hi Glenn,

You can enter anything for the symbol, like maybe "CD". If you create the investment as a "Cash" type, it will turn off the internet price retrieve for that investment by default. (You can edit this under "Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve")

The "New Investment" dialog requires a symbol, as it uses that for a default filename, but you can later erase the symbol if for some reason you don't want one recorded for a particular investment.

Thanks,
Mark
