Retrieving original SYMBs

Stock codes change for various reasons and sometimes the original code may need to be found eg to delete the record.
The original code is found under Investment Properties/Statistics. In my case after showing C:\programme files\fund manager\my_data\ there is no room for the code! Can this be corrected please.
