I would suggest completely exiting the firewall, and then re-booting. Make sure it isn't running when you re-start, and then try and retrieve. As I mentioned, some of these firewall programs can be difficult to turn off, as they are quite persistent.

: I rebooted with firewall off, as suggested. It hasn't helped much. It can't be the firewall since data is being retrieved. Its just real slow and it is timing out every so often. Normally, the counter on the message box that displays progress shows say 80/second or so. Now it is more like between 2/second to say 10/second. All other internet activity is fine...

I forgot to mention- I also get a Error 12029- "Could not connect to server".
