: Hi Mark;
: Is it possible to open two existing portfolio’s in the master portfolio? I can open one with no problem, but when I open the second one , the first one closes. I open a old portfolio & it closed my master portfolio. And I can’t seem to get it going again. I could start over but then I might end up with double portfolio's in my Data file.

Hi Lawrence,

You can only have one portfolio file (*.mm4) open at once. You can however have an unlimited number of sub-portfolios in any portfolio file. So, if you have something like this today:

file1.mm4: Portfolio A
file2.mm4: Portfolio B

you could create something like this:

file3.mm4:
1) Master Portfolio
2) Portfolio A
2) Portfolio B

so that all of your sub-portfolios are in 1 portfolio file. It is quite easy to combine/transfer sub-portfolios using the Portfolio Editor and copy/paste. You can read more specifics on how to use the copy/paste feature in the Portfolio Editor tutorial:

Thanks,
Mark
