: New user setting up, perhaps I just dont get it...

: My transactiion data is downloaded and correct, however
: the default cash account value = (current cash balance -
: initial cash balance). i.e. it is negative [since I bought
: stocks].

: The net effect is that a graph of portfolio value actually
: shows portfolio gain.

: Seems I need to manualy add an initial transaction accounting
: for the initial cash in the the account.

: How do I do this?

: Or am I completely missing the point on cash & portfolio value?

Hi Robert,

Yes, it sounds like you are just missing your initial cash deposit. To add this, open up the Data Register (Edit / All Data...) and change the "Data Type" to "Investments (all)". Select your cash investment, and you will see all the transactions you have recorded now. Click the "New..." button to add a new purchase for your initial deposit.

Thanks,
Mark
