: : I would like to have updated risk ratings and investment goals on each of my funds so I can see allocation in one pie chart for my portfolio.

: : The problem I'm seeing is that when I go to edit / investment properties / Asset type, I can put in the type (i.e. large blend) and then I put in 100%, because I'm referring to the investment's overall category. What happens is that this then applies it to the portfolio and not the investment. Do I have to go in and enter the what percentage this investment is of the portfolio? That seems counter intuitive to me, since I entered via 'investment properties'

: : Either I'm thinking wrong, or just going in through the wrong door, but can you set me straight as to the procedure to get each individual investment's risk rating and investment goal entered, so I can then go to graphs and pull up a pie chart and see my allocations in one picture?
Mark,

When I go back to check investments I had already changed, the data for risk and goal is not where I put them (I do apply and ok settings when I change them) In fact, what I see is a mirror of whatever the last investment was I changed. Then when I call up the graph in pie chart form for investments it only shows 1 category for the portfolio.

Roger

: : Great software, by the way.

: Hi Roger,

: It sounds like you are doing it correctly. When you apply an allocation under "Investment Properties... / Asset Type or Investment Goal", this applies to that investment, and not the portfolio as you mentioned. What are you seeing that makes you think it is applied to the portfolio? Portfolio allocations are just determined by the combination of all the investments they contain.

: Thanks,
: Mark
