I created 14 accounts and imported all my transactions from Quicken using QIF files. It appears that each investment has a different "dat" file for each account, so I have to input the fund or stock symbol and other information numerous times if the investment is held in many accounts. If that is the case, I have to update about 700 "dat" records manually. Is there an easier way or is there a fix planned in the near future?

That is that when you have the same symbol in your portfolio multiple times, FM now only requests it once from the quote server, and updates all investments with the same symbol. It used to request it once for every investment.

: If you export your QIF files from Quicken with Transactions, Security Info, and Account Info, then when you import, all your investments will have their Name/Symbol imported as well. It sounds like maybe you didn't have the "security" information exported in your QIF file?

Thanks. I think you are right. I think I can get a better import using OFX directly from my broker. Hopefully that will solve the problem.
