: Hi Mark,
: I am trying out the software and I have a question- I have a whole lot of historical transactions that I manually recorded over the years in a text file. I have recorded all the essential information such as ticker, purchase date, price per share, fees paid, reinvestment due to capgains/dividend and so on. So, it is not in any real format (like qif or ofx etc). My question is, can Fund Manager import this data into a portfolio? I would hate to have to reenter all the info into Fund Manager again.

: Thank you,

: Venkat

Hi Venkat,

Yes, you can import this data. You will most likely need to massage the data a little bit, but you can use the "File / Import / Transactions / Generic..." command. Press the "Help..." button in this dialog for specific instructions. If you have any questions on how to use this import please let me know.

Thanks,
Mark
