Thanks for the response.
To understand you correctly, in option #3 above, I assume what that means is that I can enter a starting buy transaction and FM will retrieve all LT/ST Cap gains and Dividends since my original buy and adjust my holdings (# of shares) accordingly. Is that true?

Thanks,

Ani.

: : Hello,
: : Question- If I enter only the first buy transaction details for a mutual fund, can FM then automatically update the portfolio for yearly dividends and capital gains or do I need to manually enter all the details? The financial institution that holds this fund is not listed in FM. So I can't import the details.

: : Thanks,

: : Ani

: Hi Ani,

: If your financial institutions isn't one of the ones listed here:

: You'll have to get your distribution data another way. You have these options:

: 1) Manually enter them
: 2) Import them from a file you download from your financial institution
: 3) If you're using FM Pro or Advisor you can retrieve distributions from "Yahoo (Historical)"

: Thanks,
: Mark
