: Mark,

: Just discovered, read the help files on, and dabbled with, the 'email reports' feature. Some questions about this useful feature:

: Is there a way to change the default email client, WITHIN Fund Manager, to Thunderbird from Outlook?

: How is the default template email message changed?

: I notice that if several reports are open pertaining to other subportfolios, these are attached to outgoing emails. Is it possible for Fund Manager to only attach subportfolios pertaining to particular client emails? I suspect there is some quick way to remove the automatically attached reports, rather than having to manually remove them by hand? If so, can you direct me to further instruction about this?

: Thanks for any help.

Hi SS,

The default email client is not set from within Fund Manager. Fund Manager uses your default email client, as set in Windows. To set this, go to "Control Panel / Internet Options / Programs / Email".

You can set the default text in the email by editing the "sendbyemail.txt" file in the directory where you installed Fund Manager. For more on this, see:

http://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/help/dlg_sendbyemail.html

This feature gives you the option to attach any open graphs/reports. You might want to set up the graphs/reports you want to email before issuing this command.

Thanks,
Mark
