I find this hugely helpful because regardless of how a fund is named or what I think it contains, X-Ray tells me how much US, foreign, bonds, large/mid/small/growth/value is really there (at least how much based on M*s definition and calculations). Obviously this is the same information they display on the snapshot, but X-ray "integrates" the numbers from all funds in a portfolio, giving me a comprehensive picture. : ?does Fund Manager do this, or something similar or ???? Hi George, Thanks for your interest in Fund Manager. Yes, Fund Manager can show you your allocation among asset classes and investment goals. It can do this with graphs as well as reports. In the graphs, there are pie charts and "stacked value" graphs, which show your portfolio's allocation among these categories. In reports you can list by asset/goal and see your portfolio's breakdown numerically, including any performance numbers. You can also sub-total reports, which allows you to see the investments grouped into these categories. In Fund Manager there are 2 sets of 25 categories, called asset type and investment goal. These categories can be defined by the user, and every investment can be assigned percentages of these categories. Fund Manager does not automatically retrieve these allocations or anything, you specify how you want each investment categorized. I'm not familiar with the X-Ray tool you mentioned, but it sounded like that might be automatically figuring out these allocations for each investment. Fund Manager does not do that, you assign them. Please feel free to download the fully functional evaluation version, and give it a try. Thanks,
