Hi George,

I can understand your concerns. Unfortunately, we have not added support
for importing from OFX yet. It is still on our list, but we put the
effort into the Yahoo transaction retrieve for 6.0.

Thanks,
Mark

Fund Manager, portfolio management software for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/00/XP
/XP

: I'm not prepared to give userid and password information for financial accounts to any third-party, so the procedure to download transactions documented in the online help for FundManager (via Yahoo!) doesn't appeal to me.

: The online help information from Vanguard (included below) says that Quicken and Money can directly download from their site, without a third-party. I'm not sure how this works, although they do have separate buttons for Quicken and Money (so there must be some difference on how the data is formatted and/or "addressed"). Any chance of adding support to FundManager to directly import OFX files?

: Download Transactions

: Now there is a faster and easier way to download transactions. Using Quicken's Direct Connect or Money's Direct Statements features, you can download transactions with one click directly from these programs! Click Help for more details.

: Quicken or Money
: You can export your transaction history into either Intuit Quicken or Microsoft Money using the Open Financial Exchange (OFX) file format. Clients who use Macintosh computers are not able to use this function.

: When you download your account data, your Quicken or Money software should automatically recognize the OFX transaction file and offer to import its contents directly into your account records. The software will compare downloaded account information with previously downloaded and recorded information to eliminate duplicates and record only new transactions.
