: : : Hi Mark,

: : : I'm trying to enter the fee associated with a stock purchase. I've entered it as a negative number and I made sure the distribution box was not checked.
: : : I keep getting a message telling me I owned 0 shares on the date specified. The date I have for the fee is the same date I have for the purchase. What am I doing wrong?

: : : Thanks,

: : : Ray

: : Hi again Mark,

: : Another thing I've noticed. When selecting VIEW/EDIT, PURCHASES, on the previous version of FM I would get a BUY or SELL WINDOW with a place to enter the commission. On the latest version of FM I no longer get the field for the commission entry.

: : Thanks,
: : Ray

: Hi Ray,

: To enter a fee associated with a purchase, use the commission fee field
: on the BUY/SELL dialog. To get the commission field make sure "Investment
: Properties.../Other/Transaction Entry Preference" is set to "Commission
: Fees". By default, some investment types, like "No Load Mutuals" have
: this turned off.

: Thanks,
: Mark
