: Mark,

: My share prices are updating with no difficulty using the Australian Stock Exchange quote server but it doesn't update the indexes - for instance, I'm using XAO for the All Ordinaries without success.

: Also, what is the best way to include an index - set it up as an investment with 0 shares and just use the current value of the index?

: Is this covered in the Help Menus? I think I included the $2 for the electronic copy of the manual when I registered. How can I retrieve it?

: Many thanks for a fine product,

: Don

Hi Don,
I went to the ASX server, and tried to retrieve XAO, but it came up empty...
Maybe they use a different symbol? You should go to the web site with your
browser, and figure out what symbol is necessary to retrieve the quote with
your browser, and then use this in FM. For links to all the servers see:

Yes, creating an investment with 0 shares is a fine way to track
an index. The value of the index would be recorded as the price.

Sorry if your manual didn't make it to you, I have just sent a copy to you
via e-mail.

Thanks,
Mark
