: : : Is there a way to update all the stocks in all my portfolios with only one update?

: : Yes, put all your investments from all your portfolios into a single portfolio.

: This single portfolio would be limited to 500 securities is there a way to update all my data files if the total is more than 500?

If you have more than 500 investments you may want to consider using
command line options along with Windows Task Scheduler to automate the
updating. For each portfolio you would add a scheduled task with a command
line like:

C:\finance\fm.exe c:\finance\my_data\port1.mm4 /I /Q

You can schedule this to be run anytime, even when you're away from
your computer, as long as your computer is on at that time. This command
will open up this portfolio, do an internet retrieve, and then quit Fund
Manager. If you have multiple portfolios to update, just add multiple
scheduled tasks.

Thanks,
Mark
