Transfer of Stocks between portfolios

I am about to transfer a sizeable number of securities from one broker to another. I would like to just move the stocks from one portfolio to another. If I do that, the hisorical record in both portfolios will no longer be correct. Is there a way to move the stocks while keeping the historical record correct in both portfolios? I also want to maintain the accuracy of the capital gains, yields, etc.
