Hi MarkWell looks like may have to try your level of patience, so will ask you to bear with me.
 Saved my total portfolio as My Portfolio_1 and started to work on it, created as many Subportfolios as needed.(that works fine)
 Then tried first by copy/paste, or as left click move the selected securities, but the results much the same, the new subportfolios have;
 a} all shares moved then they not longer show on the Master screen(remember I still want a general view with all securities.
 b)the Portfolio Value report starts to show increased values, the original plus the subportfolio's.
 Not sure how to proceed.

 PS: I tried the FAQ and tutorial, just want to avoid having to create new portfolios and then transfer to a new Master
