Hi Mark, Well I managed to update after I changed to Windows setting from the proxy. The problem persists. If I tick the windows setting from proxy and leave the INTERNET SETTINGS with windows setting tick it reverts back to proxy. I am running on MS2000. I have tried about 10 times and the tick returns. FYI I do have the wininet.dll file in my system32 folder of windows. It would appear some portfolios can update and others keep on defaulting back to the proxy setting even if I change it to windows setting. Hope you can help!!!!!
