: I get the error message with use windows settings off. There isn't a message that comes with windows settings off. It just wont retrieve the data. It waits for reply and nothing comes back. 0.00/second. I have just started getting this message. The original install doesn't work either (b333 of the dll). I am not using any internet related software. I reinstall winxp sp1a. no luck. I am about to see if it will work on my other computer. I have gone to the finance yahoo site and seen the historical table for MMM (3M) using IE 6.0. That worked fine. I will keep trying to get it to work and keep all informed.

my dialup connection to the internet works fine and i get historicals from yahoo. i will continue to investigate here. thanks!!!! =)
