Number of shares after a stock split

I have a stock that split 2 for 1. I started with 50 shares and now have 100. I sold 55 shares of the stock. When I go to the investment transaction screen only the initial shares owned are reflected and the 55 shares sold, leaving a negative number of shares owned. How do I update the stock to show the additional shares received in the stock split so my remaining 45 shares will be accurately reported?
