: Thanks Mark for your previously prompt help.:
: Question: How can I stop the Yahoo Historical "Date Range" window from opening up near the end of a quote server update request for about 20 prices? I choose other quote servers but the retrieval seems to always stop on MCDT and open the date-range window for Yahoo Historical.
: Also, I do not yet understand when to use Yahoo Historical or Yahoo (Adj Historical). I have read the HELP but it is not yet sinking in. TIA Hi Leroy, If the "Date Range" dialog is coming up during the middle of a retrieveit sounds like you have the "Yahoo (Historical)" quote server assigned
to a particular investment. On the investment that it shows up for, go
to "Investment Properties.../Internet Retrieve" and see if you don't have
it assigned to this historical server, rather than just selecting the
 "<Default Server>".
The difference between the 2 historical Yahoo servers is that one hasadjusted the historical prices for splits and distributions. As an example,
if INTC was $30 on 10/10/03 and paid a distribution of $1/share on
10/15/03, then if you retrieve historical prices using the "Adjusted" historical
server, it would report a price of $29 on 10/10/03.
If you're recording your own distribution/split transactions, you shoulduse the plain "Yahoo (Historical)" quote server, it reports back the
actual closing prices on each day, independent of distributions/splits.
 Thanks,Mark
