: I recently executed investment changes within my mutual fund on 04/03/01.
: I sold some cash shares in two investments and combined the amount in a money market fund. Seemed to work ok.

: Problem: I attempted to close out two different IRA Accounts in Fund Manager and
: transfer the total values to two IRA Money Market accounts. I did a 'sell' and
: then a 'buy' into the IRA money market funds.I know this wasn't the way to go, but I couldn't find a rollover operation. What I really want to do to retain
: accurate records from October, 1991,is to Rollover these two accounts instead.
: Is there a way to accomplish this in Fund Manager? In the meantime, I'm still
: looking in the help files. Appreciate any help. (A CPA I'm NOT)

: Hopefully, John Boudreau

Hi John,
You may wish to keep your shares in the existing investment file instead
of moving them to a new file. This way you can keep your full transaction
history. If you've moved them to a new fund with a different number of shares
just record a split on the transfer date to adjust the number of shares.

In the future hopefully we can offer a feature that allows merging multiple
investments and retaining the transaction history of each.

Thanks,
Mark
