: : : : : : : I have several investments, which I maintain manually. The entries in the investments are correct, however they do not update the Portfolios they are in. Some investments can be used in multiple Portfolios.

: : : : : : : I am probably missing something along the way in maintaining the portfolios, any help would be appreciated.

: : : : : : : Thank you

: : : : : : : Carl

: : : : : : Hi Carl,

: : : : : : I believe you are asking about how to include an investment in more than
: : : : : : 1 portfolio? If so, just add the investment to the portfolio by opening
: : : : : : the portfolio, opening the investment, and then saving the portfolio. For
: : : : : : more on portfolio management please check out the tutorial or search
: : : : : : for 'portfolios' in the online help.

: : : : : : Thanks,
: : : : : : Mark

: : : : : Thanks Mark:

: : : : : I may have misled you. What I am trying to do is have my Investments updated into the Portfolios. If I make changes or additions to an Investment, they are NOT reflected into the Portfolios.

: : : : : Is there any particular sequence of saving the Investmentthen saving the Portfolio, or am I just reaching for answers ?

: : : : : Hofefully you can supply me with the proper process.

: : : : : Thanks again

: : : : : Carl

: : : : Hi Carl,
: : : : When you make updates (prices/transactions) to your investment files, they
: : : : will automatically adjust your portfolio based values. What changes are
: : : : you making to your investments that aren't being seen in your portfolio?
: : : : Where are you looking?

: : : : There is no required order of saving investments/portfolios. Investments
: : : : contain the price and transaction, and all other investment specific
: : : : information, like their symbol, name... Portfolios contain a list of which
: : : : investment files are included in that portfolio, as well as all your other
: : : : global preferences, like colors, graph type, etc...

: : : : Thanks,
: : : : Mark

: : : Mark:

: : : On a Portfolio screen I am looking at a pie chart that shows all the Investments included in the Portfolio, however when I place the arrow on a particular area of the chart the amount, number of shares and date are not current, for that Investment. Also the total value and date for the Pie Chart header are incorrect. If I try an edit of that Investment the proper amounts and date are indicated. So the individual values seem correct, but are not reflected in the totals for the Portfolio.

: : : I hope this will get us closer to locating what the problem may be.

: : : Thanks again

: : : Carl

: : Checking futher on my problems, it seems that the same Investment I am having a problem with works perfectly when the Portfolio contains less than 15 or so investments. Is there any limitation on the number of investments in a portfolio ?

: : Carl

: Mark:

: I have decided to start from scratch and see if I can locate a problem. I entered 3 Investments into a Portfolio all was okay. On the forth entry the dates, total value and shares were incorrect, not the same as the last values shown in that investment. If it means anything the last transaction was a redemption.

: Where can I possible go from here ?

: Thanks

: Carl

Hi Carl,
Why don't you e-mail me the portfolio with those 4 investments, along
with where to look at the number that is incorrect. I can take a look, and
with your example data can provide a more specific answer.

Thanks,
Mark
