: How can I import into fundmanager historical index values
: such as DJIA, SP500 etc, and compare their performance with
: my investments? I am thinking of creating dummy investments
: with zero shares and overlay their cost/price charts on my investments.
: Is there a server and what "stock symbol" should I use.

: Thanks

Hi Homer,
You can retrieve prices using the "Yahoo (Historical)" server. They offer historical
quotes on indices. Visit Yahoo with your browser to look up the symbols
they use. For instance the Dow is ^DJI. Check out:

http://biz.yahoo.com/f/q.html#indices

For more on how to retrieve prices and use this server see:

Thanks,
Mark
