Generic Categories request

Allow the user to create many different categories, and associate investments to those categories. Then have reports that can group on those categories.

Don't try to anticipate what these categories will be. Allow them to be completely generic, so that each user can work the application according to their individual needs.

Personally, I'd create a category for investment types (tax, 401k, rollovers, roths, etc), I'd use your asset type labels for detailed break down (large growth, small value, etc), and create another for category for a high level asset type break down (large, small, foreign).
