Thanks for the info - I had assumed you must have built the control yourself in the first place since I have never encountered it anywhere else - I guess I'll just have to train myself to use another method of date selection or get used to tabbing back and forth like mad!!

This is the first time I have found any advantage in using mm/dd/yyyy in my whole life (i.e. it does make that 'on the fly' check possible)!!
