: Hi Mark,

: I've been tracking 2 stocks which are merging and am not quite sure how to handle them in FM. CNCX is being acquired for 1.2868 shs. of NXLK on 6/19/00. Also NXLK is splitting 2 for 1 on 6/16/00 (the ex date). What's the preferred way to handle this if I want to preserve the data for CNCX?

: Thanks again for your help.

Hi Wyatt,
Sounds like you would record your split in NXLK just as normal. Then,
on 6/19 record a sale of CNCX and a buy of NXLK for the appropriate number
of shares. You can make the value of this transfer equal to the cost
basis of your CNCX to keep your cost basis correct.

Thanks,
Mark
