: Hi Mark,

: How would be the best way to handle this situation? I've been following a stock on the Toronto exchange with the symbol MDS.TO. It recently listed on the NYSE under the symbol MDX. I changed the symbol using the "Edit/Investment properties". The only problem is that its new quotes are in US dollars vs. Canadian dollars. Just wondered if there was a "preferred" way to handle it.
: I suppose that I could continue to get both quotes for consistency sake.

: Thanks in advance for your input.

Hi Wyatt,
You can record a "split" transaction on the date you've converted to
tracking it in US dollars. Include a memo in the split to indicate the reason.
Splits can be fractional numbers, they don't have to be integers.

Thanks,
Mark
