Richard,

I don't want to open a "can of worms" but I don't think Fund Manager is the right program
for what you seem to want to do. I've been using Fund Manager for a couple of years now but in
the context of maintaining a historical record, downloading the closing prices each day.

If you want up to minute or live prices then you really have to access a service like OzEmail's Stockwatch,
Comsec or some similiar Stockbroker service who is going to supply information albeit in return for your custom.

I don't think its Mark's problem that the ASX prices are stale. This is a free service provided by
the ASX but perhaps stale prices is the ASX's mechanism for steering you towards their ex-member brokers
(who of course no longer members now but the shareholders of the ASX).

: : Ok, As I mentioned, the ASX site isn't working properly and won't show prices.
: : I have e-mailed them bat, to date no reply.
: : But that just takes us back to the original problem --- ASX is delivering end of day prices that are 24 hrs. old 4 hr. after the close of the market.
: They will "use thier best endevours to update prices by midnight (AEST)"
: So, the next question is......
: Is there a way one can alter ones quote server information to log on to a data supplier that will provide timely information? I expect that one would have to subscribe (pay for the privelidge) as nothing usefull gets given away in this country.
: Otherwise, your Australian customers are going to have to do thier analysis after d/loading in the wee small hours prior to the markets opening over here. (10:00AM AEST)
: Sorry to be such a bother.
: Thanks Richard
