Ian,
One alternative is to create a dummy/blank investment (.dat) file. Set one price point at 0, and load no other information in it. Set it to NOT update the prices. Then place this investment at the top of your stack, and set the screen to display 1 investment - this one. This should be all that displays while the job is updating; therefore, anyone who happens to see it will learn absolutely nothing. If your objective is to hide your information from anyone who passes by, this should take care of it.
