: When stock splits result in partial shares the owner receives "Cash-In-Lieu" from the company. Entering the split in Fund Manger results in fractional shares. Mark mentioned in reply to another post on this subject to correct this with a entering a redemption. This "false" redemption which corrects the number of shares also shows up on the capital gains/loss at the end of year, however. Is there any other method to handle this partial share from stock split problem in Fund Manager.

Hi Gerald,
In order to reduce the number of shares, you
have a few options:

1) Record a redemption

2) Record a negative reinvested distribution

3) Record a split ratio as a fractional number
to make the share balance correct, and record
a distributed distribution.

Thanks,
Mark
