: I am really enjoying the 4.0 upgrade...lots of good improvements. When entering new shares bought, the default has the current price already in and after entering the number of shares it calculates the value. I prefer to enter the shares bought and the total value and let the program calculate share price. With the default putting in the price first, I find it inconvienent to backspace over the calculated value amount to enter the one I want. Is there a way to change the default not to put in any values of the formula? Thanks

Hi Todd,
There is no option to change this behaviour.
Your method of entering the shares and value
and letting FM calculate the price is a good one.
After entering the date, you can tab to the
value field, and then Shift-Tab back to the
shares, fill that in, and then Shift-Tab back
to the price, which will be auto updated.

We have been considering changing the
position of these edit boxes and the tab order
on this dialog box for just this reason. It
will probably have to be made an option though,
for everyone who is use to it the other way...

Thanks,
Mark
