401K Company Match

Hi,

I'm still using FundManager 3.4 and would like to "figure" it all out before using 4.0. Maybe my question is already answered in 4.0.

I am trying to properly account for my 401K company match in my company's stock (zero cost for me) while keeping the graph "normal". I created an investment with the correct buy price and share amount (even though my "real" price was zero). I created another Investment trying to "offset" the Buy by entering a purchase of $1.00 for price and a "negative" amount for shares and amount (this also shows up in the investment transaction report as a "sell", not a "negative buy").

In the Portfolio Cost - Value Graph, I get what I expect for cost (zero), but not the full value of the investment. If I eliminate the "offset" investment, I get the correct Portfolio Value but not the correct Cost (Cost includes the Company Match which did not come out of my pocket).

Am I making things too difficult than I need to? I'd like to have a "real" chart of buys, sells, dividends, etc "match up" on the "price line", but also would like the "Portfolio" graphs/reports reflect that the Company Match is not part of my Cost.
