: : : Mark,

: : : I just recently converted to Fundmanger 4.0 and I am having trouble backing up my portfolio to a disk. I have approx. 145 investments in my main portfolio. Each time I try to backup the entire portfolio to a disk, I continue to get a message that FM could not copy an investment. When I used previous version of FM I've never encountered this problem. Could you provide me with some assistance.

: : Jerry,
: : Could you be running out of disk space on
: : the floppy disk? What if you back up to your
: : hard drive? When the copy fails the error message
: : should be more informative on the reason, an
: : area for improvement...

: : Thanks,

: Mark,
: The disk that I used to backup FM was a blank disk. The problem seems to be that FM 4.0 is backing up some of my investments but not all of them.

A blank floppy is only 1.4MB, 145 investments
could easily be filling this up. Please try
the backup to your hard drive and see if that works.

: Also, today when I was checking the individual investments inside of my main portfolio, I noticed that my daily stock price downloads are mixed up. I been tracking my portfolios for 2 1/2 years and now the stock prices are no longer in chronological order. They scattered, ex. the prices reads 4/21/99, 10/30/98, 2/19/98 etc. I don't understand what is happening.

This is probably due to confusion from the new
"Edit/All Data..." list view. You can sort
your data by any column just by clicking on
that column's header. You can see which column
it is sorting by, by looking at which column
header has the little arrow image in it.

Thanks,
Mark
